Singer-Songwriter Brandon Stansell Releases New Video ‘Spare Change’

As many of you recall, I sat down  last year with LA-based singer-songwriter Brandon Stansell to discuss his unique take on songwriting which combined notable elements of the country music genre in a bold new aesthetic expressed as an openly gay artist.

I’m very excited to share the news of Brandon’s new video for his track ‘Spare Change’, which is expressed through a powerful lens of inclusion; a crucial element for socially-conscious artists to embody during this period of social unease in the United States.

Brandon recently described the video concept to the Huffington Post as a form of ‘joyful resistance’ which addresses concerns that the LGBTQ community and many other minority groups have had since the Trump administration took office this past January.

Brandon’s new release demonstrates that despite what we may see or hear in the challenges of our current day-to-day lives, we still maintain the ability to triumph with the tenets of inclusion, and instill the power of love over hate.

Like Brandon’s previous video, ‘Slow Down‘, ‘Spare Change’ has  also been directed by Trent Atkinson who once again skillfully articulates Brandon’s soulful songwriting, but this time with an uniquely uplifting love story that illustrates the power of kindness and inclusion to overcome the challenges and uncertainties of America’s current political climate.

Check out the video below, and Brandon’s recent interview with the Huffington Post.  And lastly (and most importantly), don’t forget to join Brandon’s Kickstarter campaign to help support his upcoming ten-song album.
